Grip M UNI collection clamp: Direct mounting or classic screw mounting possible

Direct mounting with a setting tool not only saves time and effort, it also prevents excessive dust formation. This results in a considerable installation advantage, as mounting can be carried out cleanly, quickly, and easily with just one hand – in both new and existing buildings.

UNI product line for universal mounting

The OBO UNI product line enables universal fastening: both classic screw fastening and direct fastening with setting tools, so that the type of fastening to be used can be decided on site, depending on the substrate, without having to store a second product. The new collective holder in sizes 10 and 20 is designed exactly according to the UNI principle. It is made of sheet steel and can be opened without tools and closed again by simply snapping it into place.

Patented universal adapter of the Grip M UNI enables one-handed installation

The Grip M UNI collective holder, with its patented universal adapter, enables one-handed installation with direct fastening using a setting tool, or classic screw mounting via a separate 6.5 mm fastening hole. The universal plastic adapter is pre-assembled and compatible with all common setting tools (Hilti, Würth, Spit, Fischer, Bosch). This gives installers maximum flexibility, instead of tying them to specific systems. One-handed installation is possible thanks to the universal adapter, without a magnetic device nose. This is not only a major advantage, but also a unique selling point of the Grip M UNI collective holder.

On the safe side even in case of fire

Both cable laying with the UNI collective holder for direct fastening using a setting tool and classic screw mounting are approved as cable-specific laying systems in accordance with DIN 4102 Part 12 for functional integrity E30, E60, and E90. Depending on the cables tested, the installation parameters from the general building inspection test certificate must be observed. For use in functional integrity, the nails require a certificate of usability with information on fire resistance in concrete.

Universal adapter: Damage-free trunking fastening

With the new universal adapter, OBO is expanding the mounting options for WDK and WDKH cable trunking significantly. The adapter was specially developed to fastening plastic trunking directly with a firing tool to the wall, without damaging the cable in the process. During the setting process the adapter absorbs the energy that occurs reliably and protects the trunking against tears, deformation or other visible damage. The result is a secure, tidy and permanent stable fastening – even with quick installation. The adapter is compatible with all common firing tools, such as from Hilti, Wurth, Spit, Fischer and Bosch, and allows flexible use regardless of the system used. In combination with WDK and WDKH trunking, the adapter takes over the function of the trunking fastening and ensures greater efficiency and flexibility on the construction site. Suitable for all WDK and WDKH trunking from a 30 mm trunking width as well as for Rapid 80R trunking, the adapter can be universally used and is perfectly matched with the OBO system.
