Update: The new OBO logistics center in figures

Our new logistics center at the OBO site in Menden is taking shape. A new production logistics facility is being built here on 23,000 square meters in the immediate vicinity of our metal competence center.

The additional logistics and storage space will enable us to serve national and international markets as quickly as possible. Covering an area equivalent to four soccer fields, the center will feature:

• 3,024 3m storage spaces in mobile racking
• 1,680 3m storage spaces in pallet racks
• 8,000 3m storage spaces in the block area
• 5,004 Euro pallet storage spaces in mobile racks
• 2,388 Euro pallet storage spaces in pallet racks
• 1,176 Euro pallet storage spaces in drive-in racks
• 3,330 shelf spaces

Two loading bays, a 215 m loading ramp, five 6.5 m loading gates, and two additional 4.5 m loading gates enable the simultaneous loading and unloading of up to ten semi-trailer trucks.

The new logistics hall is future-oriented and relies on modern technology. Among other things, it features a 3-story shelving system with a spiral chute, forklifts with telescopic forks and camera systems, as well as ergonomic pallet pull-outs in the 3-meter range and in the pallet area.
