Surge protection T2+T3 with a compact structure

OBO presents the V10-1+NPE Compact, a small type 2+3 surge protection device for single phase 230 V AV systems. It has an arresting capacity up to 20 kA (8/20) total and stands out through a compact housing with a width of just 1-part unit (18 mm). The V10-1+NPE Compact offers an integrated connection for TN and TT net systems on 18 mm modul width and a high-performance varistor system with an insulating spark gap between neutral conductor (N) and earth (PE).

The V10-1+NPE Compact with its compact structure is suitable for mounting on the 35 mm DIN rail. The clever product details of the small surge protection device offer various advantages while handling it. An additional safety bonus is guaranteed by the thermally and dynamic cut-off unit as well as by the optical function display. A remote signaling contact is available as an option.

In the best of company: The V10-1+NPE Compact integrates itself ideally into the OBO surge protection device portfolio. This includes for example the surge protection device MCF Compact 75/100, the V50 combination arrester type 1+2 or the type 2 surge protection device V20. 

The OBO V50, V20, and V10 Compact series as well as the MCF-NAR combination arrester provide reliable protection against surges caused by lightning strikes and switching operations, which can cause lasting damage to electronic devices or data lines. State-of-the-art semiconductor and spark gap technologies enable high discharge capacity. The modular design of the V50 and V20 arresters, for example, allows for various versions from 1- to 4-pole devices. OBO surge arresters can help prevent the sometimes immense costs associated with data loss or production downtime. The quality of the devices is VDE-certified by an external testing institute in accordance with EN 61643-11.

OBO surge protection devices: Easy to install and safety tested

All surge protection devices are easy and straightforward to install. In addition, all surge and lightning protection systems are professionally tested at OBO's own BET Test Center in Menden. This includes tests on new developments, modifications to existing lightning protection components, surge protection devices, and lightning current arresters.
