Type 2 arrester V20-LCF
Our V20-LCF is a tested type 2 arrester according to DIN EN 61643-11. It can be used universally in main and sub-distributors or on terminals. Coordinated use with type 1 arresters is also possible.
The V20-KCF arresters are leak current-free thanks to the series circuit of a varistor and high load capacity graphite spark gap. Their connectable covers with voltage encoding serve as protection against incorrect connection. The covers are compatible with the existing V20 series from the OBO portfolio. The V20-LCF arresters have a low protection level of ≤ 1.5 kV and an arresting capacity of In 20 kA (8/20).
Freedom from leak current: When is it important?
The freedom from leak current ensures continuous availability of the power supply,
even on sensitive error current protection devices or with permanent insulation monitoring.
In addition, it also provides continuous availability of the surge protective device – even with rough industrial applications.
