V-TEC PUSH®: The new generation of cable glands

New in the OBO portfolio: The cable gland V-TEC PUSH® simplifies installation and speeds up application. Thanks to the patented internal spring mechanism, the cable gland can be inserted into the housing from the outside. No rotation is required for installation: Simply click it in and you’re done! This push-in method saves considerable time during mounting. Flexible hooks on the cable gland, which spread open after insertion, prevent the gland from being pulled back out.

The locknut is no longer required, as the gland clicks into place and is held securely by spring tension. This does away with the need for any internal fastening. Made of metal instead of plastic, the spring prevents material flow. A wide range of applications is covered thanks to the high material quality: The cable gland with the flexible spring is suitable for wall thicknesses of 1–3 mm. The V-TEC PUSH® meets DIN EN 62444, which focuses on the strain relief and protection of the cables.

V-TEC PUSH® can be used both in private and industrial applications in a temperature range of –20 °C to +65 °C.Typical applications include:

A dismantling tool is included with every V-TEC PUSH® package and helps to remove the cable gland again. The tool is pushed onto the hooks inside the housing that secure the cable gland and prevent it from being pulled out. The hooks are pressed together by the tool and the gland can be removed from the hole again.
