OBO EcoLine

Sustainable cable support systems. Less CO2 – same performance

Carbon reduction redefined: OBO EcoLine

Sustainability isn’t a goal for the future – it’s our mission today. With the new OBO EcoLine, we are taking the next step: cable support systems made from carbon-reduced steel and clever connection and fastening solutions made from recycled materials set new benchmarks in resource-efficient construction. The sustainable product variants are not only available as individual articles, but as an extensive portfolio alongside the standard line. All products from the OBO EcoLine portfolio feature a higher proportion of recycled material or currently achieve carbon savings of at least 40% compared to the standard material.

Discover what carbon reduction without compromise looks like in practice – and what it means for your projects.

OBO EcoLine – proven solutions, now even more sustainable

OBO EcoLine builds on OBO solutions that have proven themselves over many years, and makes them even better – with the same quality, the same load-bearing capacity and the same compliance. A complete portfolio, 100% compatible with existing OBO systems – no additional planning or mounting work is required.

The difference lies in the detail: optimised materials with improved carbon footprints. Recycled materials in connection and fastening systems as well as carbon-reduced steel in cable support systems boost sustainability and reduce the carbon footprint, all while maintaining the same technical properties.

This is how we combine reliability with progress and take the next step towards more climate-friendly electrical installations.

Cable support systems made of carbon-reduced steel

OBO EcoLine cable support systems are produced using carbon-reduced steel and achieve a reduction in carbon emissions of up to 60%. This includes: cable tray RKSM with accessories and fittings such as the straight connector, 90° bend and add-on tees. The products offer an unchanged high level of corrosion protection and a long service life.

Sustainable fastening and routing systems with reduced carbon emissions

OBO EcoLine fastening and routing systems feature between 50 and 70% recycled materials. This reduces the carbon footprint of the products by up to 60%. Recycled materials originate from the waste generated by plastics processing companies. The plastic waste is then processed, sorted and cleaned. This process results in homogenous plastic waste ready for further processing. Included: pipe end caps and various junction boxes from the A series and T series.

More sustainability, same mission: OBO EcoLine fastening and routing systems are also made of 50–70% high-quality recycled materials. This once again reduces the carbon footprint by up to 60%.

What exactly is behind it? Processed plastic industrial waste that is sorted, cleaned and reused as homogenous material. The result: high-performance products using less resources – from Quick clips to the Grip collection clamp.

Sustainable equipotential bonding – safe, efficient, future-proof

Equipotential busbar ECO 5015075 combines reliable functionality and safety with sustainable material use. Made from the renewable raw material cellulose acetate and equipped with a contact strip made from lead-free brass, it offers an environmentally friendly solution for equipotential bonding. Whether for main equipotential bonding for residential buildings or use in PV inverters and storage systems – the ECO 5015075 stands for safety with an improved carbon footprint.
